I am currently a sophomore student at Dartmouth College - a highly selective, academically acclaimed Ivy League institution. I graduated high school at the top of my class, receiving my high school diploma as well as an International Baccalaureate diploma. Throughout high school, I demonstrated my sense of responsibility and charisma through leadership positions, serving as president of my school's student-run community service organization, editor of my school newspaper, captain of my cultural dance team, and president of my school's National Honors Society. My success as a scholar and leader in my community has granted me the honor of being named a 2013 Coca Colar Scholar, selected from over 250,000 applicants across the nation. Today, I study english and political science at Dartmouth, balancing my academics with my responsibilities as an emergency medical responder, dance team member, and volunteer. I am both first aid and CPR certified, and I have trained over 150 hours to become a licensed Emergency Medical Technician; I plan on testing for my official certification this coming winter. I believe that, after working hard to shape my own path as a scholar, I would be happy to help others find their way, especially with subjects they are struggling with. I have prior tutoring experience in math, science, english, spanish, SAT preparation, college counseling, and more. My academic success thus far attests to my learning methods, and I love sharing my skills with my students, catering to their individual needs and learning styles.

Hobbies
I love to dance. I've been dancing since I was four years old, and, after thirteen years of training, I completed my solo debut - called my Arangetram - during which I received a professional dance diploma. I also like to spend my time pursuing community service opportunities, whether it be volunteering at my local assisted-living facility or at a child care center. I enjoy teaching and spending time with children. In college, I worked in a family clinical research lab that examines the influence of food advertisements on children eating habits in the absence of hunger. This experience helped me not only spend time working with children, but also learn more about their eating habits and how they're influenced by the people around them. When I'm not at school, I like to tutor and spend time with family back in California.
